We laid the foundation stone for a modern cardiovascular and transplant center
IMOS proudly announces the start of construction of a new, modern Center for Cardiovascular and Transplant Surgery (CKTCH) in Brno-Bohunice. This significant project will significantly increase the capacity and quality of care provided in the fields of cardiology and transplantation. We are pleased to be involved in the construction.
The project "Construction of the Center for Cardiovascular and Transplant Medicine CKTCH Brno" is funded by the European Union through the Recovery and Resilience Facility via the National Recovery Plan of the Czech Republic, from the state budget, and also from CKTCH's own resources. The total investment will exceed 2 billion Czech crowns. The construction of the new building will increase the current bed capacity by 35 beds and add one operating room.
CKTCH is the largest cardio-surgical facility in Moravia and the second largest transplant center in the Czech Republic. The construction of the new center's headquarters was ceremonially inaugurated by the laying of the foundation stone by the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health Vlastimil Válek, and the Deputy Governor of the South Moravian Region Jiří Crha.
The completion of the new building is planned for 2026, when the first patients will be able to benefit from enhanced capacity and care comfort. IMOS is proud to contribute to this significant step in healthcare in the Czech Republic.
