Louka Indoor Swimming Pool in Znojmo Wins Prestigious Building of the Year 2024 Award
Our construction project of the Indoor Swimming Pool in Znojmo - Louka was awarded the prestigious title of Building of the Year 2024. This important acknowledgement confirms the success of IMOS in its pursuit of high quality, innovative approach and expertise in the building industry.
Premium Materials and Sensitive Landscape Setting
The Louka Indoor Swimming Pool, open to the public on 30 August 2023, is located on the grounds of the Louka Municipal Swimming Pool in Znojmo. The modern building offers eight swimming lanes, a relaxation pool with jets, a children's paddling pool and on the second floor a wellness centre with various types of saunas, a whirlpool, a Kneipp walkway and a fitness room.
Construction began on 15 July 2021 and was completed after two years. The total cost amounted to nearly CZK 293 million excluding VAT, financed by a combination of the city's own resources, a bank loan and subsidies. The Znojmo - Louka Indoor Swimming Pool scored points in the regional round of the competition in 2023, when it won the title of the Building of the Year of the South Moravian Region in the category of Civic Amenities.
This year the jury appreciated the simplicity and splendour of the construction elements of the swimming pool without disturbing elements of toboggans and water attractions, which shapes and cultivates the aesthetic sensitivity of all generations.
