With pride, we announce that IMOS has successfully completed the construction work on the new pavilion at IKEM, which is now ready to serve patients and healthcare staff. This building represents the first completed strategic government investment in Czech healthcare with a total cost of 1.3 billion Czech crowns.
The new pavilion brings modern architectural and technological solutions. The fully glazed facade of the building is complemented by cutting-edge technologies, including a system utilizing renewable energy sources. Heat pumps will provide heating for JIP workplaces and cooling for air conditioning, not only increasing operational stability but also bringing a 15% cost savings.
The new pavilion features expanded departments, such as the Interventional Cardiology Department, which has been supplemented with two new angiographic lines. Additionally, three completely new departments have been established - the Metabolic Intensive Care Unit, the Monitoring Department after Invasive Procedures, and a new Bed Care Department for the Cardiology Clinic. The capacity of IKEM beds has been increased by 56, of which 49 beds are designated for intensive care.
The construction was supervised by Transparency International, which oversaw the entire process from start to finish. We are proud to have been part of such a significant project that will bring improvements in patient care throughout the Czech Republic.
Thank you to all partners and experts who contributed to this project.
